He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Sheppard and Doris Sheppard (Wardell); his son Randy Sheppard; and his sister Tina Woodbridge. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Renee Sheppard (Schultz); his children, Tara Edens (Gary), JeAnna Amukonyi (Fredrick), Megan Reed, Mathue Sheppard, Emma Reed, Jessica Buckles, Tammy Martelly and Jonsha Valle; his siblings, LeAnn Setliff, Stacey Sheppard, Patricia Luedtke and Cynthia Acton; his grandchildren, Evianna, Xhanyalea, Aleris, Isaac, Holly, Kinzey, Imani, Aidan and Amara; and his great grandchild Serenity.

A funeral service was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Racine Christian Church (12218 State Hwy K, Seneca, MO 64865). Visitation was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
