He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Everett and Opal Thurman (Lavon); his wife Hazel Thurman; his son David Thurman; and his sister Donna Faye.
He is survived by: his sons, Tony Thurman (Rita) of Neosho and Roger Thurman (Kathi) of Anderson; his grandchildren, Kyle, Scott, Shelbi and Dalton; and his sister Norma Ruth Schlessman. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ozark Funeral Homes - Anderson (100 Spring St, Anderson, MO 64831). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes (100 Spring St, Anderson, MO 64831). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Valley Cemetery (5897 MO-59, Goodman, MO 64843).
