He was predeceased by: his sister Dolores Wilcox (Jay). He is survived by: his stepmother Doris Babbitt; his wife Sharon Babbitt (Westfall); and his children, David Babbitt (Jennifer) of Bates City, Leah Stroupe (Macon) of Knob Noster, Matthew Babbitt (Denise) of Union Star and Mary Miller (Glen) of Union Star, Missouri.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

“Harold and I participated together in many musical ensembles, including the MSSU Choral Society, the MSSU Symphony Orchestra, and the Forest Park church orchestra and handbell choir. I lost touch with him a few years ago and was very sorry to learn of his passing. My boys always enjoyed visiting “Farmer Harold,” as we affectionately called him. They were always excited when they got to see his cows and collect the eggs from the hen coop. Paul Mulik”
