He is survived by: his children, Jolene Luetkemeyer of Warrenton, MO, Barry Byers of Oscoda, MI, Colene Byers of Neosho, MO and Garry Byers of Littleton, CO.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In honor of Joe's patriotic spirit, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
