Though Joy may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Starmer and Jane Starmer (Farris); her grandmother Inez Dixon; her siblings, Mike Starmer and Marcia Vanderbol; and her brother-in-law David Dodd.
She is survived by: her siblings, Myrna Dodd of Grand Junction, CO and John "J. B." Starmer (Vicki) of Brisbane, Australia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery (415 N St Louis Ave, Joplin, MO 64801).
