It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Alan Hughes of Neosho, Missouri, who passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Mark Alan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Ellington and Hedvig Hughes (Shoen). He is survived by: his wife Retta Hughes; his children, Lisa Bell of Neosho, Missouri and Ross Stevens of Rochester; his siblings, Kathleen Frazier (Scott) of Salina, Pat Howton of Salina and David Hughes (Kathleen) of North Platte, Nebraska.; and his pets, Gus and Peete. He is also survived by grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews.
