He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Petersen and Anna Petersen (Luebenow). He is survived by: his wife Karon Huston; his children, Kari Petersen of Neosho and Dustin Petersen of Omaha, Nebraska.; his grandsons, Tyrone Amos, Chris Petersen and Vince Petersen; and his sister Maryann Hansel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
