With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Earlene Butler of Nevada, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Earlene had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Earlene may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard "Earl" Swope and Margaret Swope (Thompson); and her husband Howard Butler. She is survived by: her grandsons, Jason Claspill (Audra) and Justin Claspill of Overland Park; her great grandchildren, Korbyn Claspill of Red Oak, IA and Zoe Claspill of Red Oak, IA; and her cousin Nancy Scism (Dale).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Newton Burial Park (311 W Highland Ave, Nevada, MO 64772).
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
