He was predeceased by : his parents, Warden J. Pate and Laura L. Pate (Cartwright); and his brother Eddie Joe Pate. He is survived by : his wife Karen Lynnette Burdick; his sons, Joshua Pate (Andrea) of West Monrow, LA and Daniel Pate (Vanessa Thin) of Columbus, KS; his grandchildren, Tyler Fields, Katelyn Fields, Mohave Pate, Cameron Pate, Nova Pate, Tessa Pate, Isaiah Pate and Caspian Pate; and his sister Nettie Chadd of Milo, MO..
