He was predeceased by: his parents, John David and Rosa Jane Russell (Brewer); and his wife Aletta Mae Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, James L. Russell (Delores), Sheldon, Cynthia Bray (Ernie) of Neodesha, KS and Caroline McCartney (Larry). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested in his name to the American Diabetes Association c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
