He is survived by: his wife Sally Kathryn Nixon; his children, Rusty Simmons of Falls City, NE and Sherri Barker of Nevada, MO; his grandchildren, Robert Simmons of Titusville, FL, Nakia Moore (Chris) of New Salem, PA, Teaini Thompson (Shane) of Grindstone, PA, Cody Barker (Morgan) of Lee's Summit, MO and Dalton Barker (Bre) of Lockwood, MO; and his great grandchildren, Shaylee Simmons, Jameson Simmons, Braxton Moore, Zayn Moore, Aaliyah Moore, Hayzil Smith, Avalynn Thompson, Octavia Thompson, Kinley Barker, Cole Barker and Charlotte Barker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials are suggested in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriners Children's Hospital, or the Marine Corp Toy's for Tots c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
