He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Brasher and Rosa Grace Brasher (Beydler); his daughter Vicki Brown; his grandson Joshua Brasher; his siblings, Meribel Jones, Ruth Ann Niehoff and Larry Brasher; his stepchildren, Lisa Wittwer and Don Owens; his stepgreat-grandson Grady Owens; his son-in-law Richard Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Don Baker and Jim Baker.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda Owens; his children, Jerry and Terry Smith of Grandview, MO; his siblings, J. C. Brasher and Beverly Cunningham (Dwayne) of Greenfield, MO; his brothers-in-law, Willie Niehoff of Stockton, MO and Jim Jones; and his stepgrandchildren, Amanda Bearden, A. J. Owens and Doug Baker. He is also survived by six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ferry Funeral Home (301 S Washington St, Nevada, MO 64772). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Brasher Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
