It is with sadness that the passing of Jimmie Melton of Nevada, Missouri is shared. Jimmie, born on October 10, 1947 in Walker, Missouri, passed away on August 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Don and Margaret Mary Melton (Widman); and his brother A. E. Melton. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Bailey; his children, Don Melton (Jill) of Webb City, MO and Christy Ast (Kevin); his grandchildren, Trey Melton of Osh Kosh, WI, Braxton Melton of Nixa, MO and Riley Melton; and his pet Timber. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ferry Funeral Home (301 S Washington St, Nevada, MO 64772). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested in his name to Mt Pleasant Cemetery c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
