He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Mason and Ruth Mason of Anderson, MO.; his wife Laurel Nichols; and his granddaughters, Lindsay Mason and Dru Hancock.

He is survived by : his sister Diana Virden (Ed); and his children, Chris Mason (Nevada), Cheryl Shultz (Scott), Cindy Dye (Jimmie), Cary Mason, Candace Dunback (Chris), Celeste Grothusen (Dallas) and Crystal Hancock (Jesse). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mickey's memory to the Vernon County Cancer Relief Fund in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
