He was predeceased by: his parents, Verl Talley and Wilmuth Talley (Breshears); and his sister Edna Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Kathryn Carl; his children, Aletta Borders (Jim) and Dennis Talley (Della) of Nevada; and his grandchildren, Ryan Talley (Kellie), Seth Talley of Springfield, MO, Rachelle Renwick (Ryan), Andrea Pyle (Jonathan) of Caldwell, ID, Randy Borders (Katrina), Tyler Borders (Jill) and Scott Borders (Kristy). He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
