He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Ellen Vivian Dice (Austin); his sons, Ronnie and Scotty; his granddaughters, Rose Marie Dice and Traci Guinn; his siblings, Carl and Sally; and his stepfather Joseph Fogle.

He is survived by: his wife Joy Ann Hockett of Ft. Scott; his daughter Penny Pratt (David) of Lamar, MO; and his siblings, Pam of Clinton, MO, Georgia of Joplin, MO, John Dice, Joseph Fogle of Miami, OK and Tom England of Lamar, MO. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
