With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene Gerken of New Florence, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Schmidt and Georgia Schmidt (Benney); her husband Orvy Gerken; her daughter Cheryl Justice; her daughter-in-law Vickie Gerken; and her siblings, Mildred Lockhause, Martha Graue, John, Marvin and Marion Schmidt.
She is survived by: her son Daryl Gerken of Spring; her son-in-law James Justice of Wright City, Missouri; and her siblings, Doris Graue of Montgomery City, Missouri, Norma Jean Stiegman of Big Spring, Robert Schmidt (Joyce) of New Florence, Missouri. and Kenneth Schmidt (Barbara) of New Florence, Missouri.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be given to the New Florence United Methodist Church or the Cemetery.
