He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Smallwood and Pearlie B. Taylor Smallwood; his siblings, James Smallwood, Mary Ellen Glascock and Alice Barton; his brother-in-law Clarence Glascock; and his grandchildren, Anthony "TJ" Smallwood and Emily Smallwood.
He is survived by: his sons, Anthony "Tony" Smallwood of New London, MO and James "JD" Smallwood (Deana) of Muskogee, OK; his grandchildren, Russell Cooper of Omaha, NE, Amy Mathews of Memphis, MO, Kaysi Foster (Steven) of Warrensburg, MO, Christopher Smallwood of Midland, TX, Jacob Smallwood of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Alexandra Smallwood of Okmuogee, OK and Kelsey Smallwood of Jacksonville, FL; his great grandchildren, Karli Foster, Grayson Dunn, Aiden, Kasen Mathews, Caroline and Rias Smallwood; his sister Marian Long (Ronnie) of Frankford, MO; and his brother-in-law Leroy Barton of Leadwood, MO. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Great River Honor Flight or to the Luther Manor Activity Fund.
