It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eloise Clayton (New Madrid, Missouri), who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Dixie Purser and Bessie Gross Purser; and her spouse Gene Clayton. She is survived by: her son Tim Clayton (Angie) of New Madrid; her grandchildren, Courtney Sullenger of New Madrid, Timmy Clayton of New Madrid and Brett Clayton (Lizzie) of New Madrid; her great grandchildren, Elsy, Rowe Hama and Vincent Clayton; her siblings, Mary Tanner of Atlanta, GA and Vernon Purser; and her close friends, Joann Carter and Carol Henry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Riverbend Pentecostal Church (1031 Mill St, New Madrid, MO 63869). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
