He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ferguson "Tom Furg" and Mary "Mae" Gallivan Hunter; his siblings, Tommy Hunter, JoAnn Hunter, Jim Digges Hunter, Gallivan Hunter, John Alfred Hunter, Nancy Hunter Kaiser and Charles Hunter; and his grandson Ridge Hunter Starnes.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Davis; his grandchildren, Patrick Hunter of New Madrid, MO, Harley Duff (Tristan) of Vanduser, MO, Sasha Kellams (John) of Portageville, MO and Rodney Starnes (McKenzie) of Dyersburg, TN.; his cousin Ann Evans Copeland; his nephew Jimmy "Boone" Hunter; his grandsons, Parker Hunter, Tristan Duff, John G. Kellams, Rodney Starnes II and Rodney "Trey" Starnes III; and his nephews, Jackie Kaiser, Shapley Hunter, Johnny Hunter, Tommy Hunter, Jerry Kaiser, Jimmy Kaiser, Michael Hunter and David Courtois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid.
