He was predeceased by: his uncle Al Crandall. He is survived by: his parents, Leo L. Mattingly and Judith A. Mattingly (Crandall); his son Jacob Mattingly (Tori); his fiancée Beth "Bobbie" Busciglio; and his aunt Marsha Asberry. He is also survived by several cousins and special friends.
