She is survived by: her close friend Lonnie "Buck" Kellum of New Madrid, MO; her grandchildren, Laila Nelson, Lathan Nelson of New Madrid, MO and Lauryn Nelson of Scott City, MO; her siblings, Jeanette Hilyard (Greg), Frederick Nelson (Rena) of St. Louis, MO, Ivory Nelson (Justina) of Chicago, IL, Oscar Nelson III (Louise) of New Madrid, MO and Darlene Holmes (Elext) of Columbia, SC; Lee Anthony "BJ" Nelson (Tenisha) of New Madrid, MO and Lemonta Nelson. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
