She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Chavez and Catherine Chavez; her brother Philip Martin Chavez; her daughter Annette Marie; and her nephew Martin Scott Chavez.
She is survived by: her son Walter Rodney; her daughter-in-law Joan Hawkins of Newark, MO; her granddaughters, Rose-ann, Ruthie and Kimmi; her great grandchildren, Celia, Manuel, Gianni, Jocelyn and Alexander; her sister-in-law Gail Zella of Montana; her nieces, Wendee (Glenn Tartaglia) of New Jersey and Kristen Pound of Montana; and her nephew Jason (Jennifer Chavez) of Montana. She is also survived by three great great grandchildren.
