He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Evelyn Powers Petersen and Victor Petersen; and his siblings, Mike, Ronnie, Lyle, Jane and Nancy.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Petersen of Peoria and Leslie Petersen of Newark, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Joy (Ray Benja). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
