He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hargus and Ada Hargus (Rader); his wife Barbara Ann Hargus; his siblings, Glenn, Foster Hargus, Pearl Stigall, Hazel Rankin, Ruby Rippee, Imojean Willis, Jo Helen Ivie and Kathryn Roetto; and his mothers-in-law, Lois and Letha Hill.

He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Ronald, Donald Hill, Kay Burks, Brenda Uchtman and Jo Peebles. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
