It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Gene Prater Sr. of Nixa, Missouri, born in Deer Creek, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Luther Prater; his siblings, Bernice Bailey, Loretta McPhail, Ernest Conner and L. C. Prater; and his children, Frieda Morris and Bill Prater, Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Vida Prater; his sons, Tim Prater (Bonnie) and John Prater; his grandchildren, Danielle Koelzer (Blake), Rachel Morris, Angelina Morris, Sean Prater, Nathan Prater, Cassandra Prater and Mackenzie Prater; his niece Fran Ryan; and his nephews, Mike Bailey and Rod Bailey.
