He was predeceased by: his wife Bertie Mae McDaniel Barber; his parents, Bertie Barber and Lula Meese Barber; his brothers, Joe Barber and Allen C. Barber; and his siblings' children, Patricia Barber Dzurick and Rickey Lee Barber.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathryn Charron and Brenda Barber; his children-in-law, Steven Cochran (Terry L Barber) and Linda Walter Barber; his grandchildren, David Charron (Rachel Anderson Charron), Loren Babits (Benjamin Breed), Hannah Barber (Levi Runyon), Tori McIntosh (Chase McIntosh) and Austin Barber (Bailey Faulconer Barber); and his great grandchildren, Addison May Charron, Nash Hardy Runyon and Annie Jo Runyon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Springfield Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
