We bid farewell to Bobby Gene Barber of Nixa, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 9, 2025 at the age of 93. Bobby Gene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Bertie Mae McDaniel Barber; his parents, Bertie Barber and Lula Meese Barber; his brothers, Joe Barber and Allen C. Barber; his niece Patricia Barber Dzurick; and his nephew Rickey Lee Barber.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathryn Charron and Brenda Barber; his children-in-law, Steven Cochran (Terry L Barber) and Linda Walter Barber; his grandchildren, David Charron (Rachel Anderson Charron), Loren Babits (Benjamin Breed), Hannah Barber (Levi Runyon), Tori McIntosh (Chase McIntosh) and Austin Barber (Bailey Faulconer Barber); and his great grandchildren, Addison May Charron, Nash Hardy Runyon and Annie Jo Runyon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home of Nixa (109 N Truman Blvd, Nixa, MO 65714). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Springfield Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
