We announce the death of Eleanor Anna Larson of Nixa, Missouri, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 92. Eleanor Anna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Xavier Joerger and Ellen Joerger (Larson); her husband Edward Larson; her granddaughter Melinda; her daughter Melinda; her siblings, Andrew, Maynard, Harold, Clarence and Loretta Johnson (Joerger); and her stepchildren, Dave Larson, John Larson, Patty Wells (Larson), Carol Larson and Connie Riggins (Larson).
She is survived by: her son Maynard Larson (Nickie) of Nixa, MO; her grandson Austin Larson (Madison) of Nixa, MO; her great grandchild Lylah Nichole Larson; her siblings, Clem Joerger (Margaret) of Willow Springs, MO and Bertha Teare of Castle Rock, WA.; and her stepsons, Ed Larson (Susie) of Salem, MO, Rick Larson (Teresa) of Salem, MO and Gary Larson (Shirley) of Salem, MO. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a vast community of extended family, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James & Gahr Mortuary - Salem (103 W Center St, Salem, MO 65560). A reception was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the James & Gahr Family Center. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at the James & Gahr Mortuary (103 W Center St, Salem, MO 65560). A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. A prayer was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
