We announce the death of Harold Dean Atwell in Nixa, Missouri, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 87. Harold will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Atwell and Dean Atwell; and his sisters, Beverly and Darlene. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Kurt Atwell (Sonya Wells Atwell), Karrie Brown (Michael Brown) and Kipp Atwell; and his grandchildren, Kody Atwell, Rhianon Brown, Samantha Brown and Keaton Atwell. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rescue One, an animal rescue in Springfield. Harold was a great lover of animals and regularly made donations to help support rescues.
