He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Roy Long and Josephine Long; and his siblings, Sonny Long, John Long, Linda Long, Bobbie Hasty and Georgia Halley.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Long of Nixa; his sons, Gregory Long (Tammy) and Marty Long (Michelle); his grandchildren, Mekaela Forgey (Shawn), Madison Long (Alyssa), Arayah Frierson (Caleb) and Chaelynn Long; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel Forgey, Greyson Forgey, Raelynn Forgey, Selah Forgey, Maddox Long and Kacey Frierson.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Experience Church (3114 E Sunset St, Springfield, MO 65804). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
