She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Jeffrey Merkling (Linda), Craig Merkling and Lise Heflin (Leonard); her grandchildren, Bradley Merkling (Beth), Emily Heflin and Daniel Heflin; and her cousin Bente Vinci. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
