She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Hawkins and Celo Hawkins (Garrison); her stepmother Beulah Hawkins; her sister Barb Hawkins; and her great grandchild DJ Willis.
She is survived by: her husband Albert Michel (Al) of Nixa; her children, Laura Mayfield (Elton) of Olathe, Kansas and Jason Michel (Sherry) of Springfield, Missouri; her sister Judith Farmer (Larry) of Springfield, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Jacob Mayfield, Audrey Mayfield, Megan Gatewood (Chris), Isaac Michel, Tenaye Michel, Bryson Montgomery and Kaden Montgomery; and her great grandchildren, Arthur Willis and Adalynn Gatewood.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (911 W Mt Vernon St, Nixa, MO 65714). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Nixa Redeemer Lutheran preschool or the Alzheimer's Association.
