He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smitko and Isabel Smitko; his wife Diane; and his sister Cynthia. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Stone (Roland), Brian Smitko (Christine Rogan) and Brent Smitko (Sara); and his grandchildren, Aidan, Ethan, Erian, Alyson, Brianna, Nicholas, Parker, Riley and Dawson.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Twelve Apostles Catholic Church (17900 Humphrey's Rd, Platte City, MO 64079).
