He was predeceased by : his father Harold Raymond Hoy; his stepgrandson Jeremy Cline; his son-in-law William Cline; his brother Harry Hoy; and his siblings-in-law, Glen Williams, Elmer Young, Beverly Hoy and June Hoy.

He is survived by : his wife Leona; his daughters, Anna Cline of Olathe and Janet Gann (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Brandon Gann (Tammy), Jennifer Bergmieir (Jesse) and Jeff Cline (Casey); his great grandchildren, Lucas, Jack, Wyatt and Jenson; and his siblings, Dwayne Hoy, Jerry Hoy, Elaine Williams and Lois Young. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
