She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Sewell and Rena Sewell (Chapin); her children, Matthew Childs and Amanda Childs; her brothers, Jim Sewell, Ronnie Sewell and Dennis Sewell; and her brother-in-law Melvin Childs.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Childs; her grandchildren, Mikayla Ringhofer (Luke) of St. Paul, MN, Isaiah Childs-Akers of Oak Grove and Semyah Childs of Oak Grove; her great grandchild Kate Ringhofer; her siblings, Carolyn Hutchings (Hutch) of Plano, IL, John Sewell (Judy) of Raintree, MO, Richard Sewell (Birdie) of Houstonia, MO and Keith Sewell of Mexico, MO; and her sister-in-law Shila Childs of Jefferson City, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
