He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Herman and Lois Evelyn Barks Thompson; his grandparents, Virgil and Ada Ruesler Thompson; his stepgrandmother Lela Thompson; his half-brothers, Lonnie (Susan) and Ronnie Townsend (Gina); and his aunt Gladys Nitsch (Bob).
He is survived by: his half-sisters, Jeanne Hardy (Jim) and Donna Elder (Jerry); his aunts and uncles, Dale (Betty) and Linda Thompson (late Glen); and his cousins, Brad Thompson (Paula), Donna Nitsch, Kevin Nitsch (Brenda), Darla Hemmann (Mark), Brian Thompson (Amy), Brenda Gleason (Aaron), Jody Thompson and James Thompson (Alissa).
The family suggests that contributions be made to Goshen Cemetery or Zion United Methodist Church in Old Appleton, Mo.
