He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil J. Freeman Sr. and Margie Ellen Freeman (Midkiff); his father-in-law David Retherford; his son Chris Freeman; and his grandson Jackson Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Carrie Bumpus (Cassidy), Aaron Oberle (Brandi), Andrew Freeman and Justin Freeman (Madeline); his daughter-in-law Courtney Freeman; and his mother-in-law Marilyn Retherford. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and numerous "Bonus" children and grandchildren.
