He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. O'Brien and Lucille O'Brien (Scahill); his children, Christian O'Brien and Brianne O'Brien-Mitchell; and his siblings, Janet Bower, Anita Knettle, Karen Weimholt, James J. O'Brien and Reggie O'Brien.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Christian O'Brien of Odessa, MO; his children, Elisa O'Brien-Werths (Travis) of Odessa, MO and Jamie O'Brien (Antonio) of Brazil; and his grandchildren, Austin O'Brien and Kadee Werths. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A committal service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenton Cemetery (9345 Greenton Rd, Odessa, MO 64076).
