He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurston McNeel and Edith VanMeter McNeel; his wife Leona; his son William V. Cobb Jr.; his grandson Evan Hedicke; and his siblings, Wayne McNeel and Judy Steelman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dallas McNeel and Tracy Peter (Curt); and his siblings, Audra Baker, Janice Anderson (Gene) and Ray McNeel. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home (306 S 2nd St, Odessa, MO 64076). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Odessa VFW Post 5675 and Luminos Hospice.
