He is survived by: his wife Shirley "JoAn" Kuhlman (Bunch); his children, Kimberly Kuhlman Mawhiney (Roger) of Raytown, MO, Theodore Kuhlman (Gena) of Warsaw, MO, Pete Tapia of Odessa, MO and Anthony Tapia (Taylor) of Juno, AK; and his siblings, Matha "Marti" Hembree of Warrensburg, MO and Larry Kuhlman (Barbara) of Shell Knob, MO. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
