He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Hibler and Bessie E. Hibler (Gates); his great grandchild Thea Gabriel; and his siblings, Ruby Griffin, Gladys Womack, Katherine Cowan, Joseph Hibler, Donald Hibler, Franklin Hibler and Charles Hibler.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Hibler (Cronin); his children, Tammy Kesemann (Timothy) of Odessa, MO, Steven Hibler of Odessa, MO and Kevin Hibler (Stephanie) of Odessa, MO; and his grandchildren, Derek Hinrichs (Nicole), Justin Hibler, Alex Hibler (Darcy), Clay Hibler (Sarah), Eli Hibler (Payton), Luke Hibler (Kenzie), Sydney Kesemann (Blaine), Tristin Kesemann, Cody Gabriel (Samantha) and Michaela Hibler (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
