He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wilson and Pearl Wilson (Mansell); his former wife Rosalie Wilson (Hanks); his son Larry Joe Wilson; his grandson Bo Knowles; his son-in-law Gary Penney; and his siblings, Elenore Raines, Shirley Roberts, Sharon Bray, Lawrence "Buck" Wilson and Gene Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Murry-Wilson (Goff) of Odessa, Missouri; his children, Cindy Gum of Odessa, Jay Dei Wilson of Odessa, Brian "Buck" Wilson of Odessa and Patty Corbett (Kent) of Odessa; his grandchildren, David Gum II, Anthony Smith, Heather Wilson, Haley Beaird, Nicky Knowles and Luke Knowles; and his brother Ray Allen Peet (Carol) of Richmond, Missouri. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
