He was predeceased by : his parents, Joel Columbus and Margaret Madora Tye (Specker); his granddaughter Chelse Hotchkin; and his brother Freddie Tye. He is survived by : his wife Pat Tye of Odessa, MO; his daughter Cheryl Thoeni (Michael) of Odessa, MO; his grandchildren, Christian Hotchkin (Michaela) of Odessa, MO, Caleb Hotchkin (Sierra) of Odessa, MO., Christina Hotchkin of Basehor, KS and Nevaeh Hotchkin of Odessa, MO; his great grandchildren, Paxton, Kinsley, Aubree, Olivia, Delaney and Grayson Hotchkin; and his sister Alice Ligon (Mike) of Robstown, TX. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Pat Tye.
