She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Kennedy and Cecil Kennedy; her former husband Delbert Grindstaff; and her husband Bill Maupin. She is survived by: her siblings, Sue Sherman (Larry), Lee Kennedy (Carol) and Judy McDaniel (Chester); and her children, Delbert "Dale" Grindstaff (Dawn), Richard "Rick" Grindstaff (Teresa) and Kerry Grindstaff (Cindy Pritchard). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
