He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: James Fulton Herbert, Thresa Profeta Herbert Hayes and Betrand Hayes; brother: James Hayes (Joyce); wife: Lois "Annie"; daughter: Anna; sons: Jim (Amy), Dan (Beth) and David (Lyn); grandchildren: Brandon, Sam, Jake, Ryan, William, Alex, Lincoln, Nora, Caleb and Navina; other: Paula Johnson and Larry Johnson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pitman Funeral Home (1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville, MO 63385). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (7701 State Rte N, O'Fallon, MO 63368). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at the Our Lady Cemetery (8701 Orf Rd, Lake St Louis, MO 63367).
