Thessen and Elizabeth Thessen; his children, Curtis Thessen (Margaret), Cary Thessen, Christopher Thessen (Jennifer) and Clinton Thessen (Angela); his grandchildren, Anne, Ambrosia, John Paul, Katherine, Dustin, Teresa, Wil, Dane, Tucker, MaryAnn, Charles, Julia and Maria; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Addison, Lucas, Liam, Ella and Ava.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Clarence's name to Assumption Catholic School in O'Fallon, MO.
