He was predeceased by: his father George Frank Scherer; and his brother Jerry Scherer. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Scherer; his mother Patricia "Pat" Scherer; his daughters, Jessica McKay (Bobby) of St. Peters, MO and Janaca Scherer (Fiance' Alec Tegels) of St. Louis, MO; his siblings, Dennis Scherer (Shelly) of Wright City, MO and Rosanne McCauley (Matt) of St. Peters, MO; and his sister-in-law Cathy Dunn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
