He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Kirkpatrick, and Howard Kirkpatrick, Sr.; and his sibling Eddie Kirkpatrick. He is survived by: his wife Peggy "Lynn" Kirkpatrick; his children, Sweeda "Jeannie" Kirkpatrick, Vonnie Dunsworth, Zach Burris (Kelsey) and Sam Burris (Melissa); his grandchildren, Ariana McGuire, Cameron Dunsworth and Brody Dunsworth; and his siblings, Karen Eberhart (late Jim), Bennie Kirkpatrick (Cindy), Cassa Kampmann (Larry) and Ryan Jurgens (late Nancy).
Memorials may be made in Howard "Butch" 's name to Alzheimer's Association.
