He was predeceased by : his wife Virginia C. Block; his parents, George W. Block and Angeline Block; and his siblings, George Block (late Mary), Tom Block (late Betty), Ted Block and Madeline Schlicher (late Lou).

He is survived by : his children, Dave Block (Carla), Theresa Tesson (Bret), Phillip Block (Mandy), Christina Konecnik (Alan), Rebecca Bullington (Ross) and Dan Block; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Zachary, Lauren, Catherine, Lee, Ian, Aaron, Hannah, Rachel, Christian, Emily, Allison and Addie; and his great grandchildren, Drew, Annie, Eli, Sutton, Ainsley and Welles.
