He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Mettendorf and Agnes Mettendorf (Will). He is survived by: his wife Karen Mettendorf of O'Fallon, MO; his children, Jennifer Sitar (Mark) of St. Charles, IL, Jill Mettendorf of St. Louis, MO and Christopher Mettendorf (Carrie) of O'Fallon, MO; his grandchildren, Matthew, Carley and Jack Sitar; his children, Anthony, Isabella Mangogna, Benjamin, Emma and Sawyer Mettendorf; and his siblings, Ron Mettendorf (Lillian) and Kathy Hollinshead.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Purple Heart Homes charity in honor of John Mettendorf.
